Once in Africa it just feels right to spend a couple days on SAFARI! This optional 2-Day Safari will be an experience you never forget. Like a real life Lion King explosion in front of your eyes!
The safari group will be limited to only members of our retreat as a Private Safari. You will be in full control of the drive to ask questions, make stops or look for the animals you want to see!
SAFARI
There are many places to see wild animals in Tanzania and Kenya. After a lot of research I found these 2 National Parks to be the best options for a post-Kilimanjaro activity.
Tarangire National Park & Ngorongoro Conservation Area are both full of impressive wild animals and beautiful landscapes.
These locations are often sites for National Geographic filming due to the dense population of animals. They are both reasonable driving distance from Moshi & they do not have any walking elements.
Now will be the time to relax and enjoy!
While on Safari you will be transported with our private group in a Land Cruiser 4×4 with a pop-up roof. The vehicle is equipped with wifi, power stations, fridge, air conditioning, comfortable seating & binoculars.
It is possible to see Africa’s Big Five during this Safari – lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo & elephant.
Plus lots of zebras, giraffes, ostrich, hyena, impala and so many more animals & birds!

The lodges & hotels during Safari are quite impressive. You can expect concierge service, full spas, stunning views & exceptional dining.

During your Safari ALL meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) will be included.
ITENERARY
Oct 4 – Rest day after Kilimanjaro climb to sleep in! Transfer to Arusha Serena Hotel.
Oct 5 – Safari in Tarangire National Park. After safari check in to Lake Manyara Lodge for one night stay.
Oct 6 – Safari in Ngorongoro Conservation Area. (It is recommended to arrive to this crater early morning for the opportunity to see lions hunting.) After safari you will head back to Arusha Serena Hotel.
Oct 7 – Rest at hotel and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure.
TRAVEL
Flights should be booked to depart from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) Oct 7.

Terms and Conditions
To sign up for a retreat, a non-refundable US $500 deposit is required. 50% of your retreat balance is due by May 15, 2022. Final retreat payment will be due by August 15, 2022.
Should you need to cancel your reservation prior to May 15, 2022 you will receive a refund for payment made less than the $500 deposit. Should you need to cancel your reservation prior to August 15, 2022 you will receive a refund for payment made less the $500 deposit and 50% balance. Should you need to cancel after August 15, for whatever reason, we will not be able to provide a refund or credit. Sign ups with full payment are welcome after August 15th as space allows.
